All of my maps are private and the check box is not checked next to them. Is there some kind of way to
I have "Keep my new maps private unless I explicitly allow them to be public" unchecked, but nothing seems to change.
If you're uploading data from a GPS device, there's a checkbox to make all maps public in the upload window that is most likely 'unchecked'. Check it, make sure it's checked.
How much check can a checkbox check ..

I am uploading by "Upload Data From File", which does not have that option.
