Ah, yes, it's a night to get out of the house and sit at a bar until 10 or so. This is the first year my wife has gotten candy for kids. She's afraid that if we don't they will retaliate. Our block is not that nice.

We rarely get more than a handful of TOTers. 2 years ago we got a couple dozen, which was really surprising. We buy enough on the off chance that we are discovered...but we live on a poorly-lit corner with no houses across from us, so I think most people don't even know we exist. What sorts of goodies do you all give out? We've never gotten into the candy habit (mostly because we get so few kids and don't want pounds of candy sitting around the house--that's the last thing our rear-ends need). Last year we did those pre-wrapped Rice Krispy treats and Goldfish crackers. This year we're doing the RK treats, but also small bags of Ritz Bits cheese sandwich crackers. Kids really seem to dig something other than ordinary mini candy bars and Sweet-Tarts. k
