To me, finisher awards are overkill, up to and including HM. AG awards are fair to all participants. Age-graded scoring for the overall is almost always interesting; although, would not suggest that is the best way to award OAs at local races or "fun runs".
there is a series of 4 small-mod size races in my area. each one offers its own AG awards (10 yr AG & awards to top 3 in each). as far as AG places they use chip time. There is also top 3 for the overall (male & female) cup awards, these are done by age grading. need to compete in at least 3 out of the 4 races. pretty cool.

The new year is here which means basketball season has officially started! What better way to kick off your year than to register for a great 5K that takes place in Big 12 country!New in 2014!!In addition to a participant shirt, all runners who complete the course will receive a finisher's medal!
