which side of the road do you run on - with or against traffic? (Read 1479 times)

'Course there are laws up theyah that we don't have down heyah. I have a friend who was once cited in Maine for Failure to Report a Submerged Vehicle. Apparently this happens often enough that the state legislature had to come up with a law against it.
Whether you report it or not, DEP will give you a bill for $10k for every day your vehicle is submerged and you haven't gotten it out. And yeah, it is pretty common. 18 inches of ice is more than enough for a full sized pickup truck, 6 inches is more than enough for a snowmobile (which can go over open water if it is at speed) or ATV. Oftentimes, though, one part of the lake has nice thick ice, but another part doesn't, and some morons take their vehicles out before they learn the quirks for their lake or pond.
