How do you map a course on the  305 without running the course? Or can you I want to map part of  the ING Atlanta course.

Can you explain this differently, not clear as to what action this means.

The Forerunner doesn't do maps, data points unloaded from the Forerunner can be mapped...

I want to run the ING course . Is there a way to put it  in the garmin 305. I would like to not have to take a map for directions. Do a just need to drive course and lock it in to the305.

I hope someone has a really good, informative and inventive response for you. I don't.

My experience with the "map"  feature on the Forerunner has been that it is pretty crude with straight-line navigation between marked waypoints.  Nothing even close to turn-by-turn.

Or search for it on maymyrun.com.  Many users save races to mapmyrun as well as some RD's.

I haven't found a web site that had everything on the menu. I upload my data to four different web site. I like this one the best.

Perhaps, but as MC points out, you can go to runningahead.com, draw a route, save and import to your gamin.

Thanks for the help. The problem is with the garmin. It is not graphing maps.

Ron - thanks for the quesiton. I was wondering the same thing but for the Sat running group courses. I enter into RA but hadn't known how to load to my 305! MTA - should have said 301.

MTS: Garmin Training Center does not impport gpx files so how are gpx files uploaded to garmin 301's, 305's?
