Happy Summer Solstice (Winter Down Under!) (Read 346 times)

I've got a fever...

Happy Summer Solstice, aka Midsummer Sun, aka first day of summer (or winter for our friends down under). The sun (in his jealous sky) reaches its farthest point north on its annual trek today at 2:06pm EDT (18:06 Universal Time). It will be directly overhead along the Tropic of Cancer today (~23.5° North Latitude). It's the longest day of the year in terms of duration between sunrise and sunset. Sounds like a good excuse for a party! I'm going to one tonight -- how 'bout you? Smile

On your deathbed, you won't wish that you'd spent more time at the office.  But you will wish that you'd spent more time running.  Because if you had, you wouldn't be on your deathbed.

Just going out for drinks with friends, but now I have an excuse for the celebration! Sounds like it should be a margerita night! Smile
