Carolyn, I run in London when I stay with my daughter in Nottinghill and the one thing I notice is that runners never acknowledge each other unlike when I'm running at home where we always smile and wave.

I prefer the countryside but the is a buzz about running around a Capital city early in the morning especially Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace area.

One of the UK forum runners was on a pedestrian refuge in the middle of a main road near St James Park and realised the runners he was sharing it with was David Cameron and his bodyguard
