Garmin 610 - loss of touch work arounds? (Read 21 times)

So, my 610 is two years old.  About 8 months ago I lost the ability to touch the bottom of the screen to get to the menu-system.  That was fine since I already had the screens set the way I wanted them.

Unfortunately, in a blizzard on Monday the watch freaked out and started asking me my age, weight and then reset to the original 3-part timing screen and the (useless) virtual racer.

Now I can't get to the menu again.

Does anyone know a trick to use the buttons or some other touch gesture to get to the menu screen?
