Jasmine (Jazz) was our "little old lady", at 12 years, very old for a Dobie, with lots of grey on her muzzle. We adopted her when her owner had a stroke and could not care for her. She was always happy and eager to please, with that big smile (my avatar). I could not use my laptop when she was around because if I dared to stop petting her she would stick her nose under my hand and lift it up onto her head.
Today we returned from vacation and picked up the dogs and when we got home they were so happy, tearing around the yard and playing. Then suddenly Jasmine went down and never got up. I guess her little old heart just quit.
If you think about it, what a great way for a dog to go, her last moments were so happy. Bye, Jazz.

I am so sorry about your dog! She sounds like she was a true friend.
PS That is my female dog's name as well so I can only imagine how I would feel.  |

Oh, I am so sorry...she was a beautiful girl. Big dogs don't live nearly long enough lives. 
I'm so glad she never suffered and was happy until she took her last breath. You're right--that's a good way to go.

Sorry to hear about Jazz, Russ.
I agree about it being a great way to go, I think that could be the best any of us could expect - for our dogs or ourselves. |

| I'm so sorry for your loss. That's what my collie does when I'm at my computer! It annoys me but then makes me laugh. Big dogs are so sweet. |
