You're faster than Zoomy anyway, so it's not like you need every little bit of speed to keep up with her... I know she wants you to run that training run with her, but if you're injured, that's just stupid. (See how much I love you, talking to you like this?) Keep your running shoes OFF your feet in order to keep your brain cells intact. You need healing, not training.
Of course, it's your body, not mine. But if your goal is to be able to run in the race, I think that's what you need to do.
