Me too. --- And I have had the odd occurrence (when running after dark and with a hat on) where some dudes in a car apparently thought I was a female. Once I spoke... ("Fvck off" I think I said?), they were outta there. So now I just run with no hat. Clearly half-bald, I return to being the invisible man to everyone. No protection needed. :-) .

So, my takeaway from this post is that you run like a girl. NNTAWWT.
Unless...were you wearing a sports bra?

Just curious about what if anything you carry with you to defend yourself while running. With the rash of runners and bikers being attacked on trails in Atlanta I'm giving it more serious thought now.
Feels safe having this one with me while running.
Did we win?
That requires being in contact with your attacker. By then it could be too late.

It's a hand-sized sonic cannon, isn't it?
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
Feeling the growl again

I keep a Ninja in my pocket. He's small, and stealthy, like a Ninja should be.
Yeah.
But I'm not into guns. And it would be awkward for a guy to bring pepper spray right? Hahaha
I still thought stun gun's a manly thing. Lol

Hope not! It's what I carry where I live, mainly for dogs. But I'd probably still use it if I lived in a more urban area in which I felt I needed something.
not bad for mile 25
Not being into guns is something you can change. I made a comment at a Schutzhund club that I'd never met a dog that didn't back down from pepper spray. The people there made it clear that I haven't met enough dogs. Don't carry a pink can of pepper spray and you'll be OK.
Haha! I didn't really mean something about what I said. Haha! Maybe I should consider this Pepper spray soon. I haven't been attacked by a dog though. lol
Yeah. Maybe I should start at least (if not "love") like guns and pepper spray too. LOL
