Forums >Cross Training>Suggestions for a new bike?
I was on the trainer for an hour last night, and now my ass is killing me.
Though I've been lazy about biking lately, I did ride the trainer for an hour yesterday with no ill effects. If you are worried about your ass killing you I recommend you get a restraining order before it actually does.
I haven't been riding much at all this year, so I think that is part of the problem.
I GOT IT! I just got back from picking up my sweet new ride. They took $1200 cash, no tax added! DH compared me to a badger when I really want something. Thanks for all the input!
I don't half-ass anything

nice! you should ride it in the hallway!

Sweet...happy new year to you!

Awesome! Hope you post pictures!

Yeah let's see a pic, and how you like the bike.

I finally talked DH into a new road bike, but I know next to nothing about them. I don't ride tons so I don't need anything super nice but I want to be happy with my bike too. I have a road bike, but it was a $150 Walmart special and I hate it. A friend suggested a Cannondale CAAD8, but someone at a bike shop today had bad things to say about them. I don't think I can talk DH into spending more than about $800 - preferably less. Can someone please help with suggestions? Thanks!

Sweet. That's a nice ride. I see the roads are dry. Have you given it a spin?
That bike needs a kick stand....
Nice looking bike!
I have only ridden it once so far. I went out of town and it's been sub-30 degrees since. It should get up to 40 tomorrow so I'm hoping to ride then. Now I'm working on talking DH into a trainer!
That is GORGEOUS and looks way fast! I think you have the same Mavic Aksium wheels that my bike has, too. Those are really spiffy.
What size did you end up with?
is winter over yet? sigh.
