Does anyone have any good or bad comments about a refurbished garmin 305. My unit died last week during an LSR in the rain. I try a soft reset a hard reset and everything else the support team at garmin told me to do but nothing worked. I didn't want to try and open it up and try installing a new battery in case it didn't work then they may not have exchanged it for me. So I opted to send it back to them and they will replace it with a refurbished unit for $59.00. I was just wondering if anyone else has done this as well.

Except that you are passing up the perfect excuse to buy a new toy. The new 620 and 220 look pretty sweet. Too bad I just bought a new GPS watch last February.
I am old school and hate the bezels controls on the garmins, I was thinking about the 310 but for $59.00 I figured I'd go with the 305 again, it has been a good watch for 4 year.
