During yesterdays run there was a guy on my regular harbourfront trail wearing rollerblades, shorts, and a jacket, with huge 80s style headphones on. He was skating very slowly in a small area, backwards and forwards. Not weird yet right?

He was also carrying a large broom and sweeping the asphalt trail over and over again - which didn't have any dirt, debris or anything on it! I passed by and on my way back he was doing the same thing, in the same general area.

The biker's kind of cool. Except what is he doing with the excess food? Giving it to shelters or places that need it? I remember working in Flint and watching people dig through the garbage for food. It really made you think. We'd go out and hand them bags of the day old items we couldn't sell just so they wouldn't have to do that.

Too bad there's no poodle clip!

I am pretty sure it goes to shelters or food shelfs.

I will have to look for that article on that lady with the poodle. I know my DW clipped it out of the paper because we were amazed that she was in it. I know the first time I saw her I actually had to go around the block to make sure I had actually seen what I thought I did. Mr. Bubbles is the poodles name. It's pretty funny no matter how many times I see her.

I've never actually layed eyes on her, despite living only a couple blocks away for three years, but there is an old woman that has her lawn covered with dozens of stuffed pandas in all kinds of scenes--having tea, hanging from trees, hung like xmas lights, hiding in the bushes, really every way you can imagine. I think half the reason people didn't mess with them is because it was so freaky.

Our weird guy is a runner. He runs in a woman's flowered 1 piece bathing suit and carries a ski pole.( I guess you have to have a weapon if you dress like that.) He also shows up at the local grocery store in mini skirts and heels. Did I mention he's 60-something, bald, and has a goatee? Interesting..... Roll eyes very interesting.

Well here is the picture of Mr. Bubbles and his owner. The picture isn't that great because it is a scan of an older newspaper clipping.

Wow, that's kind of cool, really...she's walking further every day than I usually run--and on bad hips. I wonder if she knows that they now make really nice strollers for pets (fully enclosed, so the animal can't bolt and get lost or injured).

Go Mrs. Bubbles!! She's an excerciseaholic. And what a nice life Mr. Bubbles lives now. It's still funny, but more power to 'em.

If everyone loved their pets that much, there would be no need for animal shelters. It's a little off beat, sure, but I think the idea is sweet.

In my town, there's a...well...for lack of a better word, threesome. It's an older women (about 70 or so) and 2 younger people (maybe in their late 40s). The younger people are a man and a woman. They wear all home made clothes...adult "onesies" and railroad-conductor type hats all made from the same fabric. They are OBSESSED with Scoobie Doo. Their garage door is a huge mural of Scoobie and he's painted on the hood of their car too. Don't know if they had it done or did it themselves.

At least the 2 younger people are developmentally disabled in some way. They walk around holding hands, sometimes with the older woman and sometimes without, but no one has ever been able to figure out if they are a married couple who lives with the mother of one of them, or if they are brother and sister that just hang close for security.
