We don't really have a spring season were i live in Canada. Early season races start mid-May.

The race i'm most looking forward to right now is the Disney Princess 1/2 on Feb 24th. It won't be spring

here by a long shot but it will be in Florida, it's been damn cold in Canada this winter, can't wait to be warm

            for a change.

The one I'm really looking forward to most this year is Sept 29th, when hubby and I do a marathon in Ireland

for his 50th b'day, with 35 other Canadians, we are all travelling over together.

That one is on my "to do" someday list. However it is not on hubby's. Since 2013 is pretty much mapped out

for us already I will have to start working on him for next year.Smile

So cool on your marathon event in Ireland!!!  Can totally relate to the anticipation of milder weather, it's been below zero temps here in northern MN for weeks but this week, despite the beautiful winter wonderland, the high was about 15 degrees!!  But it snowed ALL DAY.  Ireland sounds wonderful, I would love to do a trail run (prefer trail running) in New Zealand.  Good Luck on the 24th at the ''happiest place on earth!"

GMTA, I made the same thread in the B&B forum. Lol

For me it's the OK5K in June, it was my first race, so I'm looking forward to seeing how much I've improved in a year.

I'm looking forward to two races: the Trolley run, a 4 mile race at the end of April, and the Hospital Hill Run HM. HH is a well organized race on a challenging course which is made even tougher by the heat.

Thanks we are really excited about it. It's going to be a long 7 months of waiting but we have lots of races in

                        between!

We went to the Bermuda Marathon in Jan 2012 for my 50th bday with many of the same group and when this

trip was suggested it was perfect for hubby's birthday.  The race we are doing is in the countryside mostly, with

a view of the ocean and on some packed trail, the pics are amazing!

It has been particularly cold here for the last 4 weeks. Many days I have been running in sub 0 temps so I

am really look forward to being warm in Florida for 6 days.

A trail run in NZ would be simply amazing........you have given me something to think about!Smile

Ostensibly Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon at the end of April, where I hope to finally crack 3:30, but truth be told, I'm looking forward to pacing my brother-and-sister-in-law for their first marathon in Little Rock on March 3 more.  It's a fun race, my family will be involved (OKC will be a fairly solitary affair), and I'm looking forward to just enjoying the day with no pressure.

Oops!  Had not been in the Beginners forum in a while.

On the OK5K, that is also one of my favorite races as well, and I have done it each year since I started running.  2013 will be the third year for me.  ---My kids especially like it because of their raffle.  Corporations give many thousands of dollars in gifts to Eggleston for that race to give away.    Last year we spent 20 bucks on raffle tickets, and the kiddos won 3 different prizes, over $150.00 in gift cards to good restaurants, so that was a bonus. :-)
