Near real-time athlete tracking... (Read 531 times)

This whole concept is pure evil. Here I am, waiting for my wife to get home so I can jog over to the start of a 5K at noon and while I'm waiting I am "watching" two friends run the Marine Corps Marathon, just as I "watched" my sister run Chicago last weekend. I can't tell if I'm nervous for them, or for the race I'm running today. And when I have actually run big marathons, I alwasy hated the whole concept of online tracking--I always ignored those emails from friends saying, "what's your bib #?" Figuring if they couldn't figure how to find that out they didn't deserve to watch my crash and burn.

How do you feel about that Mikey? Really. Don't be shy. More importantly, do you like monkeys?

You really are a nutjob you know. You dug up a thread from 2006? Do you have to even search or can you just conjure these things up from the depths of the trenternet?
