CT JEFF
Recently I tried to explain despite all my training where I fit in to some non-runners.
I came up with "some runners are so much faster than me, it would take me over 2x as long to complete the same race".
GOAL in 2014 PR under 2x WR
1 mile 7:26 (met)
5k 25:14
10k 52:55
HM 1:56.46
FM 4:06
RUN SAFE. Barefoot 1st: 6/9/13. PR: 5k=22:50 10k=47:46 HM 1:51. FM 4:28 Oct 2015 joined RUN 169!
rather be sprinting
My mile PR is exactly the same as the American men's indoor record racewalking mile (5:38). If only I had had one foot at the ground at all times.

And my dad, whose mile PR is 7:23, set out with the goal of running twice as slowly as Roger Bannister.... aka a sub-8:00 mile. He called it the 'double Bannister.'
I think your goals are very worthy!
PRs: 5k 19:25, mile 5:38, HM 1:30:56
Lifting PRs: bench press 125lb, back squat 205 lb, deadlift 245lb
ultramarathon/triathlete
He called it the 'double Bannister.'
THAT's good :-)

I've also thought in these terms. And then there are sports where a goal would be a PR = 1/2 WR.
The WR for bench press is > 1000lbs (or 722lbs depending on the rules). Let's just say my PR is a lot closer to 1/4 WR than 1/2 WR.
Awesome! Ok
GOAL=PR<WR/2

Petco Run/Walk/Wag 5k
mmm for old & slow me it looks like my goals should be 2.5-3xWR!
bob e v 2014 goals: keep on running! Is there anything more than that?
Complete the last 3 races in the Austin Distance Challenge, Rogue 30k, 3M Half, Austin Full

Awesome! Ok GOAL=PR<WR/2
Your formula is wrong. It should be PR<WRx2 or PR/2<WR
i thank you. (4:05)/2<(2:03). Correct.
