Good Bad & The Monkey

I have to do a computer screen conference with a group in Australia. We need to be able to see each other's computer screens, both PCs, to demo software. What (free?) software is best for doing this?
I used NetMeeting a long time ago and it was sufficient. Not sure if it is still free. For the last 6-7 years, I've used WebEx. I think they have a 14 day free trial that you could use.

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

I'm not sure if WebEx allows you to see both computers. I haven't played with Net Meeting much but I would assume that you can only see one desktop at a time.
WebEx stuff works fairly well when you couple it with a phone conference. http://www.gotomeeting.com Alternatively, you could use some free VNC (Virtual Network Client) tools set in a READ ONLY MODE unless the other folks need to dink with your computer. MTA: WebEx => Cisco and Gotomeeting.com => Citrix

We've also used WebEx where I work with mixed results. Other places that I've bookmarked as of possible use in the future but I don't have first hand experience with include: http://dimdim.com/products/what_is_dimdim.html https://www.yugma.com/ Please comment back if you use one of those (or find something other than webex) and share your experience.

+1 on the www.gotomeeting.com They have a free 30 day trial but otherwise it's not free. It's easy to use and offers PC/Mac compatibility.

I haven't used it in a while, but RealVNC may do what you need. Despite all of the links that say "buy", there is a free version offered under the products tab.

Are you doing this on OS X? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_remote_desktop_software If so, it looks like they have a deal in 10.5 called screen sharing that uses the same RFB protocol most free VNCs use

We've used WebEx which works relatively well. We switched (for I don't know which reason) to Adobe Connect which also works well. I know Adobe Connect has a free 30 day trial.
