If I don't get snowed in, I will be in Las Vegas Tuesday through Thursday.  We are staying at the Trump Hotel just off the strip.  Any suggestions on where to run besides the dreadmill?

If you get out like before 10am the strip is pretty deserted.  The only thing that's kind of a pain is all of the pedestrian bridges, but they would be a great stair workout.

Ugh, those bridges would be killers!  I've never seen anything like that before.

As was mentioned before, just get out early and run the strip a few times; the stairs are good but so is seeing vegas in the day light.  I was many other runners along the way.

I liked the stairs & bridges, except when pedestrians were in the way.

I suggest driving out to Red Rock. I would never want to run down on the strip, and depending on the time you just can't. You could make your way to industrial avenue and then there will be less people.

EDIT: I lived in Las Vegas and I wouldn't even go to the Strip, because of the crowds.

This summer during marathon training I had a 10 miler while in Vegas for a wedding.  I ran out and back from Mandalay Bay to the Stratosphere in the morning.  It was actually pretty interesting! The strip was deserted other than fellow tourist runners and those on a "walk of shame".

Was in Vegas in august and just ran down the strip towards downtown.  Was at Venetian which I guess is midstrip and headed North (I think) towards downtown.

Once you got past the stratosphere pretty vacant and hit some seedy section with most the old motel/strip clubs boarded up.  I Think me and my buddy busted up a few drug deals / solicitations, but at 8:00AM did not feel unsafe.

Headed a total of 3 miles and then back 3 to venetian.  My friend a 5k specialist wanted to show he could handle the distance so we headed back towards the airport and made it about 1.5 miles down by harrahs for a total of 9 mi run,  By this time 9:00ish I guess this part of strip was getting more crowded and sidewalks take weird twists and turns and with construction made it more like dodge the tourists .... which was actually sort of fun as we took turns breaking the way.

The Stairs , which I think on the side the Venetian is on were only two, yeah step intervals in the middle of 9 mile LR is just awesome.

Actually only time we got out and viewed the strip so was a good run, of course in August temps were geeting mid 90s+ by end and although the 9% humidity made for a dry run I know I really sweated a lot it just evaporated faster than it could come down, as needed to down two 20 oz propels during the run.
