I've got a fever...

Info on a marathon/half training seminar next February at Michigan State University (who will receive their annual beatdown tomorrow).
Running Research News and Bill Rodgers will be joining forces to present an information-packed marathon and half-marathon training seminar on February 8-9, 2008 on the campus of Michigan State University. Angry Bill is a former American record-holder in the marathon and former world-record-holder for the 25K and for the 10K on the roads. He is the only man to win both the Boston and New York Marathons four times, and he has been a member of the U. S. Olympic team. Rodgers garnered a bronze medal at the World Cross-Country Championships in 1975 and won an incredible 27 of the 30 road races he entered in 1978. He has won a total of 21 marathons in his career and will be sharing his vast knowledge of marathon training and competing at the conference. Bill joins forces with Owen Anderson, Ph. D. at the seminar for two action-packed days of informative presentations. Recently, Bill said "Owen Anderson is one of the finest sources of information on distance running and marathon training. I would recommend his advice and knowledge to runners of all ability levels - from high-school cross-country athletes to aspiring first-time or world-class marathoners. Owen's advice is simple and - even better - cutting-edge!" Attendees will leave the seminar room on Saturday evening completely ready to put their marathon or half-marathon training programs into action. Bill and Owen will cover all relevant topics, including setting an appropriate goal time, optimizing the five critical predictors of marathon and half-marathon success, and blending running training with strengthening drills to enhance running economy and minimize the risk of overuse injury. Sports nutrition for the marathon and half-marathon will also be covered in depth. At this weekend seminar, runners will learn how to ensure that their leg-muscle-glycogen "tanks" are always full and will comprehend the optimal use of water, sports drinks, and gels during their races and long training runs. As part of the hands-on segment of the conference, running-specific strengthening exercises for the marathon and half-marathon will be fully demonstrated. Bill and Owen will provide attendees with marathon and half-marathon training plans which will carve significant chunks of time from their performances. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Meet and work with Bill and Owen in person, and make 2008 an incredible year for your marathon or half-marathon running. But, please don't procrastinate: To preserve the integrity of the one-on-one interactions between Bill, Owen, and each attendee, group size for this conference will be strictly limited, so please sign up now!

On your deathbed, you won't wish that you'd spent more time at the office.  But you will wish that you'd spent more time running.  Because if you had, you wouldn't be on your deathbed.

      Did...dammit!

Just because running is simple does not mean it is easy.

      Relentless. Forward. Motion. <repeat>
