My husky is autistic.
Toss a tennis ball at her it will hit her nose and bounce off or she jumps out of the way and lets it roll to a stop before she gets it. But if a bird flies 25MPH at a diving angle she can time her jump straight up into the air to snag it in her mouth and snap its neck before she lands.
Maybe idiot-savant is a better term. Not sure if that's caused by "over vaccination"

I'm not a big believer in "Springer rage" but mine certainly have some quirks to give a little validity to it. Since they only manifest themselves a) when something/one threatens my kids, or b) I try to physically punish him and he gets scared, I'll put up with the personal risk.

I got bitten by a dog last week...
my life has been turned up side down because of this incident since the dog's owner is gone on vacation for three weeks...and I hope the dog has all his shots updated...
so...I am having a hard time loving the neigbor's dogs...

I grew up with an English Springer Spaniel. She was a sweet, even-tempered dog all through her life. Never knew her to have any problems. Where do you get this craziness???
