In any case, please do some research before you link a BS article from wiki.

But wiki is perfect information, always.  And germaine.

And even if you don't believe this (and honestly I do not, I was kidding), please let me know what I've linked that is "BS".

And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.

"1,3-Dimethylamylamine is a derivative of geranium oil which resembles the body’s own chemical messenger, epinephrine (adrenaline). Like adrenaline, 1,3-Dimethylamylamine is a powerful CNS stimulant, for added energy, increased clarity and a boost in physical performance, especially valuable to athletes during calorie restriction or when a high level of focus is needed. For fat loss, 1,3-Dimethylamylamine works through a similar chemical pathway as ephedrine, causing a rise in cAMP, the chemical messenger that triggers fat release......"

You're obviously well aware that wiki is not a reliable source. That is what I'm referring to....

Edit :And I don't like getting baited!

Please let me know what was BS about what I posted and why.

            This is not bait.

Maybe because anybody can edit wiki. I could make a wiki page about srlopez and make up all kinds of crap and post it here. Would that make it legitimate?

What about that article that I posted, and specifically the quote, is BS?

                That's the germaine question.

I just realized that wasn't from the link. Haha. No, I don't necessarily disagree with the quote. However, that same exact quote could be replaced with the word caffeine instead of dmaa. The difference is that caffeine is widely marketed and accepted.  1,3 dimethylamylamine sounds like a steroid or something to the average person.

Does anyone have anything useful to add about Beta Alanine?

I remember when they bombed Pearl Harbor.

Damn. You are older than I thought.

I've used it with weight training and I'd like to use it while running, but I'm afraid that the flush will mess me up. Anyone have any experience with Beta Alanine and running?

Why would you like to use it with running?  What are you hoping to gain from its use?  What does it provide you that you cannot get from your regular meals?

One theory holds that beta-Alanine is a nitric oxide potentiator.  So, when you consume beta-Alanine, wherever your body is making nitric oxide at that point in time, the beta-Alanine will magnify the nitric oxide effect and you will feel extra blood flowing through the capillaries close to your skin surface.
