Have fun and be safe everyone. And especially best wishes and hopes for the safety of our fine men and women serving in harm's way.

On your deathbed, you won't wish that you'd spent more time at the office. But you will wish that you'd spent more time running. Because if you had, you wouldn't be on your deathbed.

Tonight I spent some time chatting with my neighbor, he is scheduled to deploy on the 20th, for a year of service. This time, he'll be "boots to the ground". He's excited to be going, but will miss his oldest daughter's 16th birthday, and already regrets that. Talking with him and seeing the pride in his expressions and hearing the determination in his voice, was truly amazing. It is a moment like that when I don't doubt my oldest son's wish to serve ( I still worry, of course ).
