        is that a bike race?

Yes. Last one to the end town wins.

        In, of course.

MTA:  Ninth year in a row. Sheesh.

The competition is fierce...much harder than it sounds.

WG, You may want your bus strategically placed the first day. Looks like a longer pull and an unincorported town. Could be dry too.

We've loaded our fastest rider down with a soft cooler that holds one growler and about eight cans. There isn't a foot of Iowa that is dry.

I've also found four golf courses on the first day of the route. It will be another great year.

Golf Courses are the best kept secret on Ragbrai. Something the Old Dawgs learned from Team Good Beer!

Very interested, not 2015.  Today, I start to pull in classmates from different parts of USA in for it 2016 or 17.  Probably my first thread to this forum is this Ragbrai.  What a nice coincidence. Can you book hotels along the way?  I guess no problem.

20,000 riders in a bunch of small Iowa towns?

There's lots of ways you can do RAGBRAI.

The majority use RAGBRAI support or a charter service and tent for the week.

Our group arranges host homes and we are usually indoors. Sometimes it's sleeping on the floor of a Vet Office or setting up a cot in a machine shed.

450+ miles of smiles...eating and drinking your way across the state.
