Can't walk! (Read 228 times)

aditya83

    Hi,

I ran about 4kms yesterday morning after taking a break of about 3 or 4 months (no other sport / activity). Didn't feel a thing while running but in the evening started getting a sharp pain on bending the left knee. It's been bad and I can't walk since yesterday evening. As long as I don't bend the knee, it's just fine. Can stand on the injured leg as well, just can't bend the knee.

    Any advice please?

    Cheers,

    AMP

The only advice I can give is to talk to your real-life doctor!

Don't have a lot of info from your history you gave, but to me it sounds like it could be some IT band tendonitis. It would really depend on where the pain was, if there was swelling at all, if you felt a pop or click, etc. An actual exam wouldn't hurt either. Medically, I would need more info, but from personal experience and the fact that you just started back running, that sounds like what it could be. Hopefully you are back to walking (and running) now but if it gets worse it wouldn't hurt to get it looked at.
