Water won't drain from ear after swimming (Read 2976 times)

I should have worn my ear plugs last night....I can't get the water to drain from my right ear.  I can hear water swishing around in there when I bend down.  I slept all night on my right side hoping it would come out, but it didn't.  I don't want to get swimmer's ear--is there anything else I can do?

Put a couple of drops of alcohol in your ear.  It will come right out.

I have the same problem, it just came on last year.  50 years of swimming with no ear issues, and now if I forget my ear plugs, I suffer with water clogged ears for days.  WTF?

 

Alcohol and those drying drops do nothing for me, other than add more liquid to my already liquid filled ear canals.
