Giant Flaming Dork

    Mac OSX 10.4.11  Firefox 3.6.8

I was browsing the forums without being logged in and saw a thread I wanted to post on.  I logged in while on that thread it didn't seem like I logged in (no "girmann" in the upper right hand corner, no "Reply" or "Quote" boxes).

When I navigated to the first page of the thread, I could the "Reply"and "Qoute" boxes were there and my name was in the upper right hand corner.  I could even create new threads.  But navigating to that one page where I logged in made it look like I wasn't logged in.

Reloading the page didn't help, and neither did logging out and logging back in.

In case you're wondering, it's the "Emerging Adulthood" thread.

Maybe I'm just not an "Adult" yet...

    We've Got Big Hills

I have noted a couple times since the upgrade that my browser prefers to use cached pages when I make changes to a thread or look at my log or sign in.   I wonder if that is what you were experiencing.
This is a known issue.  I enabled caching for forum pages.  Your browser is displaying the cached page instead of requesting the updated page from the server.  I'll do some research to see what can be done about this while allowing the page to be cacheable.
