Oh boy. I have hesitated to post 'cuz it's really embarassing especially with all you hardcore dudes around RA. I can usually win the goofiest, most embarassing, worst, what were you thinking race photo contests with this one. In my defense, it was my first half, it was 30 degrees, I'm from south FL where it rarely gets below 45 and I detest cold. Oh and most of it was throwaway clothes.

Worst Race Photo Ever

Yeah, that's really me crossing the start. It was Disney 2006. Worst part is that's also the race where I forgot my chip and had to go back to the hotel then get back in time for the start. I've spent the years since trying to HTFU when it comes to cold weather but it hasn't been that cold since down here. I did finish wearing much less than what I started.

Do I win? Big grin

Wow, Chimera - that one is up there! I lived in Florida for a while and remember what people do when it dips below freezing. Wink

Here's mine. Finishing a 10K in 35 degrees and pouring rain, last Thanksgiving.

I LOVE this picture. I don't like cold weather either, and unfortunately, I live in Iowa where it gets pretty bad in the winter.

I can't post the picture since it's copyright protected but here is the link. http://trihokie.smugmug.com/gallery/4230400#247470568_4QEeG-A-LB

It reminds me of the carboard cut out of Forrest Gump and his ping pong paddle...

I ran the 1/2 that year too! It was really cold! I wish that I was as bundled at the start (I wore flannel PJs over my running gear).

I'm just chatting away with the cameraman, not realizing he's taking pictures...

The finishing shot is better, but I'm not ready for that much public humiliation yet.
