Alright, who's racing this weekend? I am doing another 1/2 marathon...shooting to finish in 1:43:00. Should be just me against the clock and course...first time ever that they are doing this 1/2 marathon....not too many people signed up, and the weather looks to be just about perfect!

I am doing the Oxford Town & Gown 10k - a nice little run around the historic city Oxford. Very flat but may be a little crowded - 4000 max runners - hope to be sub 50.

I have my first 5k this Saturday. I'll be in the Clydesdale class. My goal is to finish somewhere around 36 min. The weather isn't looking the greatest at the moment though.

I just decided to run the Jim McIntire 4 mile race in Proctor. My race partner convinced me to sign up for it. Hopefully the weather isn't too craptacular.

I'm running the McIntire half marathon. Basically just a training run though looking for about a 1:56:00 with a progressive fast finish. Also will be my first race with aid stations so I hope to get at least somewhat used to that. Should be interesting 4 milers and halfs are starting together.

Doing my first half, my first real race since fall '99. I'm behind on the training due to ITBS and a sinus infection, so I really have no idea what my goal is. Based on nothing, I'll say I'd like to do it in less than 2 hours, but who knows.... I'm a at a place in my training now that I feel like I would have a totally different race with three or four weeks of uninterrupted training. Oh well, it won't be my last.

Doing the Green Bay Half Marathon on Sunday. Weather should be cool. Not sure what I have in me coming back from hamstring tendonitis. I am shooting for 1:33. Last year I did 1:30 and change on 22 miles a week. This year it has been 19 miles a week and no faster work or race simulation work. Should be fun! Also looking forward to first cold/ice bath!

Running the inaugral Geist HM this weekend (nothside of Indy). Still working on a base, but I want to beat my 2:03 from the Indy Mini which was on May 3rd. I may neglect my LHR for this run and let my HR run into the 150s to see what the engine can do. Game day decision. One thing for certain - this one only has 4500 runners instead of the 35000 for the mini - that part I like.

2008 goals:
1) finish Indy Mini less than 2:10 for LHR - 2:03 Yeah baby!
2) run a fall marathon (Indy)
3) stay injury free
4) PR 5K, 10K, HM & M
5) get my kids to start running with me

Angry No racing this weekend. My children own me all weekend long. Between prom and post-prom party, and an all weekend soccer tournament, I have no freedom or chance to sneak in a race.

But if I could, I would be racing a 5k on Sunday. Big grin
