WTG!!!! congrats to both Rick and Jake! I'm excited to read the reports.

Jake, what on earth are you doing running a 42 mile run when you are supposed to be tapering? It's that monkey guy you're hanging out with isn't it?

I used to run the relay there nearly every year and suffered through the full hypothermic in 2001 or so for 2nd...watching the weather report for this year I was remembering that terrible experience and rooting for you...way to go through the weather! I hope you were happy with your performances.

Tough day for a marathon, but great performances by RA's Glass City Warriors. The weather was definitely the story of the day. Rain, snow, wind and JK runs within a few minutes of his PR. Rick, in his first marathon, does the race proud and gets within 8 minutes of his goal.

I got out to snap a few pictures of these guys.

JK at mile 11

At mile 17 looking way too happy

At mile 26, giving me the 2-word version of his race report

Rick at mile 11.5

At mile 17.5, giving the thumbs up. He told me later he really started hurting at 18.

Very cool Mishka! As bad as running in those conditions must have been, methinks standing around in it was probably pretty bad too!
