I would like to know if it is possible to export courses to a gpx or similar format.

On the map page, there's a "GPX" button at the top right. Clicking that button lets you save the route to your computer.

If you need to convert it to a format that a Garmin Forerunner can use (such as *.tcx), go to GPSies.com.

Thank you very much Clive. I expected to have that button within course itself and not in the workout details.

You can also view the course and then click the GPX button.
