Not dead. Yet.
Hope everyone has seen this: http://www.charitymiles.org/
Its a small app that you install on your phone. Start it when you go running and you earn 25 cents per mile for the charity of your choice ( in the app). If you aren't used to carrying your phone while you run, it isn't a big deal. I have carried my phone while running for a few years now. I use a SpiBelt. It doesn't bounce and you can barely feel it.
Why not make all those miles count toward something bigger than your next race?!
How can we know our limits if we don't test them?

Maybe you should start a poll on it. No, wait, bad idea, sorry I said anything.
You should know by now not to ask me to start a poll.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

Why is there always one person that has a constant panty bunch going on.

I've been using the Charity Miles app for over a year now.
Doesn't cost anything to download it, doesn't cost anything to use it.
I'm assuming they make the donation they claim they will, and given the big name companies that are listed as supporters / funders (Timex, Humana, etc), I'm willing to bet it's legit.

I'm not a spammer. I just found out about it and wanted to spread the word. It's almost too good to be true. Do what we do and make money for charity. Who loses?
