Heya.... 41 year old man.. 250lbs.. been training / working out hard since Sept .. lost 30lbs since then... just started actively 'training' (running) about 10 weeks ago...
Did my first 'official' race/run today! Susan G Komen Race for the Cure , South Florida (West Palm Beach) 5k.
I ran 0:26:13.18 .. whoo hoo... overall 616 out of 3000 runners... 45th in my age group...
So proud of myself!

Great job!
If you went out too fast and got tired later on -- which is what almost all of us do at first, and lots of the kids do every time -- then you can try adjusting your tactics the next time
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
