An earlier story about Ernest. His bike is pretty much my dream bike...a custom Seven Mudhoney in Ti. A friend of mine has one and it's one sweet ride. My über bike would be a Ti CX bike with disc brakes and 2 sets of wheels, to make easy swaps for road riding days or off-road rides. *sigh*

And...People For Bikes just posted a blog entry about the sport (and they pretty well hit all the high points of what makes it such a completely awesome way to spend a few hours of a weekend). Funny, this "niche" sport is suddenly feeling a LOT less niche-y just in the past 24 hours. I'm especially intrigued by the thought of women's races filling to capacity on the East Coast...wow.
