My wife and I are looking to possibly buy an elliptical trainer. I was wondering if anyone had some recommendations and/or tips for what to look for.

Money is an object, but we are willing to spend more for quality/durability.

Thanks!

We got a ProForm XP110 from Sears about six months ago... only like $400. I didn't want to spend too much for it because I didn't know how much we'd use it.

Six months later -- I rarely use it - much rather run outside. BUT my wife loves it, uses it 45 min. four times per week and it works every bit as good as more expensive ones (so far).

I think that model was recently discontinued but they show up on Ebay and craigslist.

Last year: missed Boston by 3 minutes.
This year: find 3 minutes.

LifeFitness x5i is a great machine. You can find them on sale, or as a demo.
