Basically you run in place...any issues with running in place as far as form, etc. Similar to a treadmill as far as workout? You put the Wii remote in your pocket and run in front of the tv..the 2nd part of the video shows whats on the screen..the first part--well--just watch..

Why not put the remote in your pocket and run on a treadmill?

Anyone else spot the Chuck Norris mii in the clip? About the 4:27 mark.

Yeah, I dont think any serious runner would use the running feature. I dont think thats the target. Although I suppose I could call Wii work cross training on the log.

I was just curious on the running in place benefit..has anyone resorted to this in absence of a treadmill or the ability to step outside?

I'm speechless.

Someone, somewhere, made money inventing that.

I suppose that's what I would do if I was locked in a tiny cell. Otherwise... no.

I got that toy for mother's day. You shake the remote and your Mii runs really fast, very funny. Any benefit that the wii fit might have is lost without the use of the platform, which can be used on balance games. Take it for what it is: a video game that is fun to play with the kids Smile
Running in place you don't push forward at all, on a treadmill you do.
