Drew is my name. EOB is an acronymn for End Of the Bench, where I sat when I played beer league ice hockey. I ran (run?) a hockey blog, and it's name is End of the Bench, so I used it here because some heathen already stole 'Drew'.

Interesting! For some reason, I always figured it stood for Explination of Benefits, given your self proclaimed title in your profile page. |

My name's Jeff. I went to the University of Michigan. Michigan's colors are maize and blue, but since "Go Maize" sounds stupid, we U-M fans cheer "Go Blue".
I am often referred to (and occasionally change my screen name to) as globule. This stems from an observation that jeffgoblue looks a lot like jeffglobule. The shorthand "globule" ended up sticking, as globules tend to do. |

Ask my mother.
Interestingly, the word in Greek for fast moving water is "Trent".
The word in the Native American dialect from the Pennsylvania area for fast moving water is "Saucony".
Guess which shoes I prefer.

Do you pronounce Globule like:
1. Glow Bull; or 2. Glow Bully?

I haven't noticed, but I've been meaning to ask -- how do you pronounce your screen name? I've always pronounced it ˈfək-ˌtärd |

Mine's from the film Million Dollar Baby, specifically when Hillary Swank's character (Maggie Fitzgerald) is trying to convince Frankie Dunn (Clint Eastwood) to train her by expounding her toughness to which Eastwood gruffly replies, as only Clint could:Girlie, tough ain't enough. I always liked that line.

gidget: many many summers ago, I got hooked watching Gidget reruns on tv. A friend nicknamed me "Gidget". I had tacked on the 262 at some point because plain old "gidget" was taken, and I thought at the time I was pretty hot stuff, having run two marathons. |
