| Let’s just call it a facile alias! don't read anything too much into it, I have no royal blood, nor am I a Jewish American Prince. |

I’m originally from New Jersey! The New Jesey Devil is part of the folklore of my home state, and "Jersey Devil" just seems like a cool screen name--much cooler than the various explainations of how this mythical beast came to be. http://theshadowlands.net/jd.htm

My original RA handle was BadBadBadBadDawg. When my ex-wife tossed me out of the house, we couldn't manage a civil conversation in person or by phone for much more than 60 seconds. To keep the peace, we decided instant messaging was a better means of communicating. I had to come up with a screen name, and figured it would help things if it was humorous.
The ex had a canine nickname for me, and I figured I must have been a bad dog to get ejected from my family. AOL instant messenger being as popular as it was, this proved challenging. I found that BadDog was taken, then tried the following progression unsuccessfully:
BadBadDog BadBadBadDog BadBadBadBadDog
All of the above were already in use.
Not one to discourage easily, I tried the same progression by substituting dawg for dog. On my last attempt (AOL screen names max out at 16 characters), I found that BadBadBadBadDawg was available. I thought it was even funnier and more appropriate. I don't really use IM much anymore, but I also snagged it on yahoo and it's been my yahoo email for eight years now.
BadDawg was available here, so I eventually shortened it for simplicity's sake. |

Dude, you are confusing the crap out of me with your 76 on the name and the Hello Kitty Avatar. Yes, we all think Dragon76 is really cool. But you're really cool too, SurfNRun. You don't need to be a clone. Embrace your Surfing 'N' Running. You're good enough, you're smart enough, and gosh darnit, people like you! |

I was pretty obsessed with Fried Green Tomatoes as a teenager (mainly the movie) and in particular with being the Mary Stuart Masterson character whose name is Idgie, Imogene Louise Threadgoode. When I worked as a camp counselor I was "Idgie" (everyone had camp names) and I have taken Imogene with me into the cyber world whenever I've needed a name.

Me too. I love that movie! Mary Stuart Masterson was perfect for that role. She was good in Immediate Family and Some Kind of Wonderful too. |

| Tchuck. Todd Charnetski. Well I took this name from my brother. He is in radio business and his first name starts with a T and last name is Charnetski. Charnetski doesn't cut it on radio so he changed his last name to Charles. Nickname for Charles is Chuck. In office they called him Tchuck. I liked it. It is mine. No one calls me it though. |
