16 degree 5k (Read 458 times)

I ran my 2nd 5k in New Milford, CT last sunday dec 2nd. It was 16F, with a fresh coating of snow on the roads at the start! Cold! The race went well but I made some small begginers mistakes. 1st... no gloves! during the first mile I could not move my fingers and it made me nervous. lesson learned! 2nd... The first mile i had a good (for my standards) 8:21 gradual uphill pace. Then just after that point and around a corner here comes one steep mother of a hill. It winded me and it was hard to recover for the rest of the run. I finished with a 28:32 time. Which I am happy with considering the conditions, and I beat my last 5k by 2min. NOW its 10k time in warm galveston, tx! in January

Nice! Very hardcore. You've earned a toasty 10K.

          16F with snow? I'm jealous.
