Ok who all has (Read 622 times)

sick kids? I have 2 of them though one of them swears she's not sick (101 fever). Go figure dh leaves and next thing I know I've got sick kids. I'm sure they will be better by Friday when he gets home. Edited to say I'm such a bad mom. I sent them to school thinking they were just tired from staying up a little late.

    Good Bad & The Monkey

I am at home right now with my youngest. She had 102.2 rectal at 5am. Viral thing. Her sister was sick with the same last week. I have been dealing with it all too. Sheesh.
My #2 was at the hospital yesterday for chest and sinus X-Rays to see WTF is going on with her cough that won't go away, though her fever is gone. She went to school today. My #3 has whatever crap #2 had that left the lingering cough. Not surprising since they are joined at the hip. No fever yet though. #1 and # 4 seem okay for the moment.

Well "glad" I'm not the only one. The weird thing is it's the twins that are sick and they are NEVER sick at the same time. Not sure exactly what they have. Katie complained of a headache last night and Frankie did have a little cough. They came home from school looking tired (had a rough night last night due to dh flying out). Gawd I hope I don't get it. Dh won't be home until late Thursday. DD finally gave in and is napping!

I'm worried that Katie may end up having the same problem. Whenever she gets sick and gets a cough it takes FOREVER to go away and she was complaining of a headache yesterday so I'm thinking sinus issue's UGH! Glad to hear her fever is at least gone and she's able to get back to school. Gotta love having enough children that someone seems to always be sick during flu season

Eryn sent her son to school last week when she thought he was just a *little* sick and he got there and promptly barfed--so don't feel bad. My son NEVER gets real sick (seriously, he's never even been on antibiotics in 6 years, no ear infections, and only one mild fever ever)...I would say I'm lucky, but he has a tendency to bring stuff home to infect me. He might get a mild sniffle, but I will get flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, and a sinus infection. Little punk! The current cold that I am recovering from was a slight bug that he had, though it manifested into a stronger form in me. Tongue k

                I fly.

My son isn't sick, but I am (well, was, I'm almost better)... so I blame him for delivering the germs to me.

                  Bring it on.

My son brought the Crud home from school and gave it to me last week. As repayment for her patience, care and forebearance, we infected my wife with it. Typical exchange in the Lebben house: Me: "Look, I know you're sick and all, but come over to the computer and check this out." Wife: "Cough, hack, cough." Me:"No, really. This is the funniest thing I've seen all week." Wife: "Gurgle." Me: "Quit being a baby about this. At least sit up and take a look." Lebben the Younger: "Seriously, Mom, it's really funny. Why isn't there anything cooked for supper?" Me: "Oh, your mother's letting a little bug get her down. Hey - Let's go out for pizza." Lebben the Younger: "You rock!" Me: "You comin', honey?" Wife: "Groan"

Nothing major. My daughter (11) has had a cough since New Year's Day...and after many doctor appointments and a trip to the specialist (and x-ray) I have determined that I think she is going through some hormonal thing. She is the moodiest thing in our house, she cries at everything. The cough is a dry cough that I swear she still does out of habit. I had the cough thing at the same time she did with the fever and all. Mine turned into a productive cough, but after a week I was back on the treadmill and ran the cough away. It took a couple of weeks of the every now and then cough but it is totally gone now. The other three are healthy at the moment (knock on wood)...Aside from the harm they inflict on each other (the 15 year old hitting the 12 year old after the 12 year old makes fun of the 15 year old's pimples etc...The 5 year old deciding that a remote control is a hand held weapon against the 12 when the 12 year old changes the channel etc...the 11 year old using her soccer cleat as a way to chase the 5 year old out of her room etc...) This is when I say...REMIND ME TO NEVER HAVE CHILDREN *lol* Just kidding. With having four children who wouldn't mind missing a day of school we had to come up with rules for staying home. In order to stay home they must have ... 1) A fever over 100 or be 2) Throwing up. The older kids are honor roll students and we don't mind if they miss school from time to time but with our luck we'd let them slack a day here or there and then they'd get sick for real and have to miss days of school.

Last week my son was up all night w/ vomiting and diarrhea. I kept him home the next day & by that night, he seemed better. He said his belly hurt the next morning and I, being the wonderful mom I am, said that it was just sore due to the vomiting & he'd be fine. I dropped him off at 7:45, by 8:55, the school had called me & he had been sick. Oops!! Shocked Don't worry, I've withdrawn my application for Mother of the Year already!! Sunday, my ex called to say that my daughter had been vomiting all day. They had a snow day on Monday, but she was perking up. She said Mon night that if they had school on Tues, she was sure her belly still hurt! Needless to say, I sent her packing on Tues & she lived! Now my babysitter & her entire family have had the same thing. Glad we could share! Blush
