Zoom Remember just how far you have come, girl! I am proud of your PR even though it isn't what you expected. You rock! |

Dang, ZZ, sorry to hear you weren't so pleased w/your PR...but you DID PR and in less than perfect condition due to being under the weather. You RAWK sista, and I'll have the Oberon, replete w/oranges for our first pre-race meet up.
Hang in there. There are more races, and better days for you. You've worked hard, and come a long way so spend a day taking in the rough race.
Then let it go, and start prepping to HAMMER DOWN on the next one.

Double JJ Ranch buffet...*burp* Gah, I am way too full (and the buffet was pretty lame this year, in comparison with earlier years...fewer people, it seems. I'm guessing the price of gas is keeping a lot of folks from making the drive up from Muskegon).
Yeah, tomorrow I'm back to runnin'. The one advantage of having such a "slow" race yesterday (hardly faster than recent training runs) is that my legs haven't had to recover too much. |

Great run, K. And, nice PR. I know it wasn't what you hoped for, but it is what it is - and that is something to be celebrated.
This is why we race. Sweet wouldn't be as sweet without the sour... |

| Zoomy! Each race is a learning experience. This race will make you better physically and mentally. You are still growing as a runner. I have been running over 20 years and still learning how to pace or how to maximize training/nutrition etc. Also, a PR is a PR - take it and make the next race BETTER! Good job! |

Congrats Zoom. This race is just another step and another challenge to rise to, even after that fact, and you my dear know a thing or two about challenges I have no doubt that you will be ready for marathon training and racing (!!) with this in your pocket.

ZZ,
Congrats on your PR. And congrats on further proof of your competitiveness. One of the hallmarks of a being a competitive runner is when you get to the point where you PR and it's still not good enough. |

Weds. AM I have a date with my PCP. Hopefully the Riverbank Run of '08 will be my last race with out-of-control asthma issues. I'm gonna beat my damned lungs into submission, man! |
