Srlopez yeah i keep track of my distances walked by how many telephone pole lengths i walk.
How long is a telephone pole? My experience with them is on the y axis (up and down) while I walk closer to the x axis (horizontal), so I suppose it has never occurred to me to measure this way. Very cool.
Er, I think he means the distance between telephone poles.
Panda, if you're going to be running miles upon miles on the track, switch directions every few laps.

I am aiming for at least 2 laps nonstop. I would like three or four laps.
At first.
