Coaching a baseball game the other night I got a stone bruise while wearing sandles (stupid). I laid off Tuesday and will run light 4 miles tonight and light 3 miles in the morning and layoff Friday and 5k race Saturday. Recovery run Sunday...but this week my mileage is going to be down.

How will this one week of low mileage affect a 1 month runner like myself?

um... it will probably help you... you were probably due for a cut back week... on top of that you are racing on saturday which will be intense... the less miles will probably freshen up your legs...

better a stone bruise forcing a little rest than tendonitis or PF... hamstring issue,... knee...
