      Marathoners can do it for hours! Only think of two things - the gun and the tape. When you hear one, just run like h*ll until you break the other. Carpe Viam (seize the road).

        That's great...I love that. My stepsons gave me a bumper sticker for Christmas that says "Only sissies play contact sports." I have a quote from Bill Bowerman taped on my cube wall that says something like "There is no such thing as bad weather, only soft people." That quote has made me lace up my shoes more than once this month.

                      My running buddies and I use this one at the end of a long and/or tough run: "Anyone can run a mile." It helps me to forget what I've done to that point, and to just focus on what's left.
