| Australians on the internet use that term too. "Arse" definitely has an accent to it which is less offensive and seemingly more distinctive. |

10K goal 50:00 or less (PR 52:45)

Do Americans do that?
Every time I see that term, I assume the post was left by a Brit or an Aussie. So far my assumptions been right every time. The only time I've seen a Yank use it is in response to the aforementioned Aussies and Brits. Or maybe because they want to sound clever ... or to make it clear that they've lived overseas.
Which makes them look like an arse if you ask me.
Modified because I spell like an arsehole. |

Sorry I am a Brit and I am a little confused what is arse supposed to be less ofensive than ? bottom? Butt?
I think people use the word because it sound better i.e. He is a complete arsehole flows nicely but he is a complete bottomhole / butthole etc etc just does not work for me.
But then again I am a brit so maybee you are right |

| "Arse" is also Central Pensylvanian for "ass". it used to drive me insane when I heard it! They also say y'uns (in otherwords, you guys, yous guys, yous, y'all, etc.). |
