Weird Pain in One Arch During a Run? (Read 924 times)

    I bought brand new ASICS GEL-PHOENIX  3

You shouldn't buy a shoe just because it shares a name with pretty much your favorite animal. Gosh!

Maybe you strained your post tib or something. Any knots in your calf, perhaps on the medial side, about 3-5 inches above the ankle?

Okay everybody! I think I realized my issue after I tried EVERYTHING. Well here is why I THINK: I have been running heel-toe this whole entire time as I been running and I experienced pain. Ever since this thread I still experienced this pain, but right now, today I tried to run differently. I tried running Toe-Heel and guess what? No PAIN AT ALL! It went away like magic. Why is this? And was I running wrong before? Because I can really feel it in my calves, since I changed the run tecnique. They feel like I actually worked them out. Anyway, is thia how I am supposed to be running? Because the pain is gone. I mean, I felt it a bit in my left arch but NOT enough to stop me from running. Thanks. (Sorry about the bad grammar and run-ons, I an using my phone lol)

Bump. Please read the post before this

You've been here long enough to make your log public.  That way, we won't think that you are a troll.

Toe running will trade your arch misery for another.  If you can really feel it in your calves (how do they feel today?), you're just a few miles away from Achilles tendinitis or a grade I calf muscle strain.

Alright. And lol I don't mean my calves hurt, I was just saying they feel like I worked them out. They don't hurt lol
Yeah if the shoe is too stiff then I suppose toe running could neutralize that problem, but forcing a forefoot strike, if that's not natural, could lead to bigger problems. I'd try to visit a good specialty running store and get fitted.

                Runners run.
