If anybody is going to be in Southern Maine tomorrow night (April 3) then I highly encourage you to go to Maine Running Company for Emily and Maddie's "Fund" Run:

Emily LeVan is the 14th fastest woman in the upcoming marathon trials, and is currently trying to balance training for the trials with caring for a 4 year old daughter going through chemotherapy and steroid treatments to treat leukemia.
Also presenting will be Sheri Piers and Kristen Barry, who are a couple of my teammates that qualified for the trials in Philly last year with a couple of 2:45s.
If you do make and are interested in taking pictures or writing about it, let me know since I am looking for somebody to cover it for me for Run to Win. I don't want to risk getting any of the ladies sick, or Maddie, so I'm going to have to skip going, which has me really bummed. |
