Did anyone else not know this was on the Olympic roster? I just watched the finish; the lead three swimmers were under the 2 hour mark; think 1h55m or so. Looked like the same site as the triathlon swim. Just exhausting watching them lie on the dock after, recovering. I don't know if there's a women's event or when it is, but I'm going to check. Just a grueling event.

This was the first Olympics to have this. A 10k swim! In open water!

I think the women's event already happened, but I'm too sleepy to check.

Oh, and your gold medal men's winner is a leukemia survivor. Which is a mighty cool thing to me because I am as well.
