There is a difference between many, many beers per night and drinking in moderation.

And if any of us a truly going to reach our potential as a runner, we'll have to give up more than just beer, quit our jobs, etc., etc.

And some of the most gifted runners on RA are social beer drinkers. My guess is a HS track/CC coach tells his team that beer is evil and unhealthy to keep them from imbibing. I think being truthful and telling them it's illegal and would get them kicked off the team would be a more effective and honest tactic.

Voltron drinks beers. Someone I know knows Voltron.

Anyway, this discussion is irrelevant. Coffee is the worst thing to drink for a runner.
