On someone's suggestion, I have created a CR Refugees User Group on this site.
Hope everyone drops in and posts.
I ran a mile and I liked it, liked it, liked it.

Another CR refuge here.
I'm planning on lurking both for awhile because I can't abandon my 20s thread peeps. The Active site is HIDEOUS. If I wanted half my screen to be advertisements I would go to a porn site.
Not to mention this log is pretty slick. I'm a newbie runner, so I don't really have much of a log to import, I'll just start a new one here instead.
Thanks for having us and making us feel welcome!

Welcome to all those migrating from CR! I hope you all find RA as useful and fun as the rest of us do.

Another CR refugee here. From everything I have seen and read, I am looking forward to RunningAHEAD. The transition to Active was terrible, but so far this place has a nice feel. Am looking forward to more good things.

I am glad to see so many familiar names from CR. I have received such good advice from the CR boards, and have spent much time lurking and taking in as much information as possible from the more seasoned runners out there. Looking forward to reading the boards here, and continuing to improve as a runner!

Another former CR here! Was there since it was Kick. Really disappointed with the Active.com site. The "transition" was a nightmare, took me days to find the old forums. Oh well, I wanted to change my username anyway
I used to be lstall, now lakerunr same as on the RW site, which is also going rapidly downhill (the only reason I still read it is the Shoes forum and Boston forum). Sometimes change is good.
We get avatars here, too.

I've decided I'm no longer a refugee.
I'm an immigrant.
Refugees are people the host country feeds, houses and doesn't integrate into their society. I have no intention of returning
I ran a mile and I liked it, liked it, liked it.

Yeah, and also, Drew is a compulsive liar so don't listen to a word he says. And Jeff is a Hippie and will try to convert you to his cult if you let him get talking.
This place is not as nice and safe as it seems, is all I'm saying.
Luti 2010. It won't come down to a kick this year. Thunder by 20+ seconds. Put that in your pipe and smoke it

Refugee here too. Trying to get my running group to make the switch. I don't like Active. Good to see Long RUn Nick.

Sound thinking dgb! Welcome to RA all you CR immigrants. I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all. Great group of people here with a lot of knowledge, inspiration, and encouragement. I think you will find this new home quite to your liking. Anyway... welcome again!
Modified to add: Oh, something I noticed about many of the new CR immigrants is that you have your profiles private or may not have one. May want to consider making them public as well as your training logs as it will help others get to know you better/more quickly and where you're at in your training. Plus, for stalker-types like myself, it makes it a lot more effortless to stalk.
Just kiddin'... maybe... as far as you know...

Your log looks disturbing similar to mine in terms of mileage over the summer (light), improving into the fall.
I think I've found a home
Now that I've looked at your profile, it is downright creepy. Same current and goal weight. Both of us have two daughters (mine are much younger). Also a Christian.
Are you thinking of running a marathon?
I ran a mile and I liked it, liked it, liked it.
